Match Report
King Edward's Witley Boys-U13A vs  The Harrodian School
On: Saturday, 09 Nov 2019
Venue: at Home

The U13's proved too strong for a good Harrodian side and despite conceding an early goal through a defensive mix-up, we were quickly back in the game with a fine move down the left wing that was neatly finished off at the far post by Monty Wheals. Shem Kariuki then put us in front just before half-time.

What happened as the second half commenced can only be described as ruthless. The partnership on the left side between full-back Josh Cook and winger Jordan Njipap flourished and caused Harrodian all manner of problems. We quickly extended the lead as Shem Kariuki slotted home a penalty with consummate ease. Shem then grabbed his hat-trick with a fine solo goal that saw him dribble through the defence and then beat the 'keeper in a one-on-one that he tidily tucked into the bottom corner - a fine hat-trick rounding off a great individual performance.

Man of the match, Jordan Njipap, had several near-misses throughout the game but finally managed to get himself onto the score sheet as more superb individual work from Shem Kariuki saw him slide a sideways pass rather than shoot, leaving Jordan free to tap into an empty net.

This was a great team performance with every player contributing to the comprehensive victory.
