The Thriller in KESilla!

The U15 Boys began slowly against St John's Southsea allowing John's to spend a lot of time in their D in the first half. However, John's found it difficult to convert and spent most of the time searching for wonder goals than taking their chances. The KES defence of Eccles, Clarke, Campbell-John and Agar did very well to break down a relentless attack at some stages followed up with outstanding saves by Charlie Myers to keep it level at half time. After a change of tactics from 4-4-2 to the traditional 4-3-3 Flyn Matheson and Oscar Roberts started to come into their own in midfield setting up Jake Tapley and Kyan Sukhram to open up John's defence. Looking like a nil all draw KES dug deep and Oscar Roberts broke away to allow Lev Davies to steal a goal for us against the run of play with two minutes left. In the last two minutes KES played a big defence to keep John's out and win and exciting end to end game! Man of the Match Tom Clarke, followed closely by Charlie Myers.
